Giving Back to the Community - Chayala’s Mikvah

Essel Eyewear is committed to giving back to the community. We proudly donate 20% of our profits to a special project - Chayala’s Mikvah.

Essel Eyewear founder Sholly Levy, together with the local community, developed Chayala’s Mikvah as a way to honor the memory of his sister who tragically passed away in 1999 at the young age of seventeen. The Mikva will be a beautiful spa in the heart of East Flatbush, NY. The vision is to create a space for every woman to have a place to relax, rejuvenate and connect with other women. Chayala’s Mikvah will also offer Torah classes, a cafe and exercise classes to bring vitality to both body & soul. It is our honor  is to build a mikva so other women can enjoy this mitzvah in a beautiful way.
